Purpose of use: Suitable as a air freshener in combination with a diffuser.

Description and usage: The oil is extracted from pimento berries using steam distillation. It has a bright yellow colour and a warm, fresh, spicy scent. Warms the body, tightens the skin and helps alleviate redness.

Blends well with: ginger, geranium, lavender, orange, patchouli, ylang ylang.

Interesting facts: Pimento is an evergreen tree which is native to India, but also grows in South America. When it is the three years old, it starts to bear fruits, which contain two green, kidney-shaped seeds, which become black when the fruit is ripe. Pimento is also called Allspice and its aroma is reminiscent of a mixture of cloves, juniper berries, cinnamon and pepper, and is widely used in Indian as well as Mediterranean cuisine.

Warnings: Can irritate the skin and mucose membranes of sensitive people, so we recommend the use of low doses. Avoid during pregnancy.
