Description
The special essential oil is obtained from the branches that have naturally fallen from the tree. This is an essential step because once the branches touch the ground they are exposed to the naturally occurring mucilage found in the soil that releases a natural fermentation process which stimulates the characteristical development of the aroma's intensity that is marked by a high limonene content. The resulting fresh and citrusy fragrance notes may vary which lends the essential oil its nuance diversity. Palo santo is used in aromatherapy to promote relaxation and supports meditation. It is also used during flu season.
Application:
- Room scenting, concentration & meditation: 2 - 3 drops of oil in a diffuser
- Relaxing bath: add a few drops to the bathwater
- Massages: dilute 2 - 3 drops in a plant oil or cream
