I was interested for a while in this deodorant. I ordered 2. The smell is not good or it's bad, it's just usable, however it does not matter much when our armpits are all burned, cracked and peeling skin off. This deodorant must have too much sodium bicarbonate, because this is precisely the reaction to be expected when the skin comes into contact with excessive sodium bicarbonate.

After hearing good things about Schmidt's deodorants I was hopeful about trying it out. Unfortunately I found it messy to apply and although I don't tend to sweat a lot it still didn't keep me fresh in warm weather. However the biggest dissapointment is that it STAINED several of my tops and blouses with an oily residue that does not wash off, ruining several clothing items. Very costly experimentation with Schmidt's deodorants in the end. Do not recommend.

It does work for me. It's great in a demanding crossfit class. In fact all deodorants from this brand are, at least as far as I am concerned. This has a really gentle smell that I like a lot. It fades in just a few minutes but I still like it.

very happy with this deodorant. I've tried many natural ones before but this one actually helps, even while sweating away in the gym!

I had to alter my review, this deodorant ended up causing a severe itch and rash due to the high amount of baking soda. Seems this is a very common reaction to these types of deodorant. It worked great for a little while, but due to the high risk of a bad reaction I can not recommend this to anyone
My original review:
I've been using natural and safe deodorants for 15 years and this is in my top 3. Actually, I've only found 3 that actually work: Schmidt's, Real Purity and Lavanila. This one also smells a lot better than I expected, I've grown to love the scent.
Yes, it is quite dry and I know some complain that it is too difficult to apply. I disagree, the extra few seconds it takes me to apply saves me more time than the annoying waiting for a totally liquid deodorant to dry before getting dressed (like the real purity one).
Schmidt's keeps bad odors away for a looooong time, a lot longer than I ever expected or hoped for in a natural deodorant. I highly recommend!
