TEA Natura Red Henna "Mahogany", 100 g

Colouring the hair with henna is one of the oldest colour treatment techniques there is. Compared to conventional colouring treatments, the use of henna is safer and less harmful. Henna by Tea Natura originates from Indian Fair Trade projects, such as Naturveda Biotech from Pondicherry, a long-standing business partner of TEA.

Many of the standard henna products contain an additive called sodium picramates, a synthetic bonding agent that accelerates the effect of henna, making it more effective. The products produced by TEA, however, do not contain this harmful ingredient.

Application:

• Depending on the length of the hair, mix a sufficient portion of henna powder with warm water (about 50°C) until a creamy paste is formed.
• A small amount of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice can be added to the paste to increase the longevity of the colour outcome.
• Apply the paste to damp hair.
• Cover the hair with a shower cap and leave it on for about an hour.
• The first red nuances are visible after about an hour.
• To intensify the colour outcome, leave it on for 2 - 3 hours.

The Indigo shades prevent red shades from becoming too overwhelming and provide grey-hair coverage.
To reach a stable colour intensity, this product should be used regularly (as needed). Thereafter, use the colour treatment every 20 days.
