Description
Pure rhubarb powder obtained from the dried and ground root. The plant is native to China and Tibet, where it grows wild. Through the widespread use, it is now cultivated. The appearance of the plant is similar to the Siberian rhubarb, which also has its origins in Central Asia. Both forms have a large rhizomatous roots, which are harvested from a 6-10-year-old plant in spring or autumn. A yellow hue can be obtained from the leaves, but it has little strength in comparison to the color obtained from the root, which is a more intense and warm solid yellow color.
Rhubarb is the main source of yellow / orange color for textiles and carpets in Tibet. In particular, the powder of the root is suitable to dye hair blonde. It gives a very intense golden hue to light brown and blond hair. For blondes, is an authoritative source. It can even cover unwanted colors left by other plant-based dyes. Keep in mind that rhubarb has a very intense yellow color when dying your hair, it is best to experiment to get the best color for your hair.
Application: To color the hair with rhubarb powder, mix it with hot water until it forms a paste. Then apply it on your hair and leave on between 10 and 90 minutes to take effect, depending on the desired degree of coloration and the proportion of white hair that is to be covered. It is also advisable to mix with other, gloss-imparting plant powders (such as Senna italica or Christ's Thorn) to mitigate the color intensity and warmth. Alternatively you can mix rhubarb with chamomile, nutshell- or madder powder (with a tiny amount of henna) to conjure up natural nuances of warm hues in dark blond or light-auburn hair. In this way, colors are obtained from blond to apricot. Also suitable for gray coverage. Is especially useful for achieving an optimal coloring of bright blond or partially sun-bleached hair. In this case more liquid and only a short exposure time are recommended. This gives the hair new shine and its original bright gold tones are refreshed.
This 100% natural "Simply" line was not made only to offer new hair care products, but also to stretch herbal hair colors in order to enhance or mitigate them. This line of plant powder has a variety of uses and benefits.

Bad allergy and ugly colour
Rated with 1 out of 5 stars.
I got a really bad allergy with this (redness, burning, itching).
I mixed it in my cassia mix and the colour I got on my gray hair was a very unnatural yellow with green reflexes. I definetly prefer the natural golden tones I get from my cassia mix (Cassia obovata, lemon juice and chamomile tea) without the rhubarb root powder.
